Insurance is a traditional industry, one of the last ones to be transformed by digital. We are going to change that by launching a ground-breaking insurance solution for SME clients using the latest technology. This is a start-up business and we are looking to form an initial small team who will help set-up the business and super-charge it through this initial first stage to prove the concept. This is a rare opportunity to join an InsurTech business right from the start, especially one with the corporate backing of a leading independent financial services partner.

 

We are currently developing an exciting new digital brand for our business and we will be based in our own cool office near London Bridge station. We are looking for a marketing specialist who can come in, roll their sleeves up and join us on this amazing journey.

 

We’ll be a team of around 6 to start with and you will be the marketing lead -  this will encompass for example, working with our digital agency and growth marketing agency to develop the brand, messaging, proposition, marketing mix, strategy….pretty much all things marketing! The customer is at the heart of everything we do so we need good engagement mechanisms put in place. We also have the added advantage of being able to cross sell to the existing customer base of our parent company – this strategy needs defining and implementing. We are also developing an attractive partnership opportunity too for lead acquisition and this will need implementing and managing.

 

You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and Product Director on this activity who are passionate about making a difference and transforming the process of buying and managing your insurance. Most customers are confused, under-served and dread sorting out insurance – we are going to make it easy, and dare I say it, enjoyable!

 

The person we are looking for is extremely positive, proactive, energetic and creative. You should ideally have minimum 2 years’ experience in digital marketing across a broad range of activities. Experience working in a start-up would be ideal. Financial Services or Insurance experience is not necessary however an appreciation of the fact that insurance is a heavily regulated market is needed. Previous role/s should have a track record of creating and managing marketing activity to directly drive sales. You  need to be articulate, numerical, and quick thinking. Quality of spelling and grammar needs to be very strong and you need to have a good appreciation of technology. We will be a small team to start with and it will be ‘all hands on deck’ to set-up this exciting new business – you need to be comfortable and excited about this sort of opportunity and be prepared to work under pressure to help launch the business and make it a success

 

Key responsibilities:

To plan and manage all marketing activity across internal and external stakeholders

To work with our external agencies ensuring timely delivery against budget

To represent our brand values and proposition across all marketing and communications

To create and manage content across social media

To use creative thinking in developing new, cost effective marketing mechanisms e.g. PR

To manage internal cross sell campaigns with internal stakeholders

To challenge the norm as far as insurance marketing is concerned to help gain cut through in a hugely competitive market place

To ensure our marketing remains highly targeted to drive quality leads to ultimately hit sales targets

 

  • Degree or equivalent
  • At least 2 year’s experience in a marketing role
  • Knowledge and experience in digital marketing across a broad spectrum of media
