Insurance is a traditional industry, one of the last ones to be transformed by digital. We are going to change that by launching a ground-breaking insurance solution for SME clients using the latest technology. This is a start-up business and we are looking to form an initial small team who will help set-up the business and support it through this initial stage to prove the concept. This is a rare opportunity to join an InsurTech business right from the start, especially one with the added resources of corporate backing.
We are currently developing an exciting new digital brand for our business and we will be based in our own cool new officies near London Bridge station. We are backed by a leading independent financial services partner to UK businesses providing. Their strategy is to extend into other financial services products and insurance is the latest venture. You would be an employee of that Corporate entity, trading under a new brand in the insurance industry.
Purpose of the role
The key purpose of the role is to provide amazingly good service to our prospective and existing customers. The insurance industry sometimes has the perception of being very old fashioned and formal. We will be professional but ‘without the suits’ - we want to be approachable, friendly and helpful. We want our customers to be reassured by any communications they have with anyone in this role whether by webchat or email. Our team will be small to start with so this role will cover inbound and outbound sales, general enquiries, and generally assisting the broader team in this exciting new venture.

To ensure every communication received by the customer – web chat or call – is perceived as amazingly good
To deliver customer service in a friendly, approachable, knowledgeable way
To represent our brand values and proposition so it is immediately obvious they are dealing with a new type of insurance organisation
To provide more broader marketing and sales support to team when time permits from core activities
To convert enquiries into new sales
This person should be extremely positive, proactive, energetic and routinely go out of their way for customers. They should ideally have minimum 1 years’ experience in small commercial insurance (liability preferably). Previous role/s should have a track record of exceptional service dealing directly with customers. This candidate needs to be articulate, numerical, and quick thinking. Quality of spelling and grammar needs to be very strong and this person needs to be confident using webchat type technology and the phone. We will be a small team to start with and it will be ‘all hands on deck’ to set-up this exciting new business – this person needs to be comfortable and excited about this sort of opportunity and be prepared to work under pressure to help launch the business and make it a success.
